Amazing Grace Movie on the life of William Wilberforce

An event organized by OHMSI and the Agora with the following details:

Venue - Community Baptist Church, PJ (near Chow Yang)
Date/Time: 10 May (Sat) 1.00 pm-5pm

We would start with a movie screening "Amazing Grace" on the life of William Wilberforce, the famous British politician who fought to abolish slavery as well as the story behind the famous song (Amazing Grace). At around 3 pm, we'd have a time for reflection and sharing on how we can engage in public issues in our country like what he did. We'd be honored if both of you could come and share your story on why/how you felt called to this vocation in the political arena as well.

The Programme is as follows:

12.00-1.00pm: Lunch Fellowship at CBC for all who come at contributions of RM 5 each.  Guests are free.
1.00-3.00pm: Movie Showing
3.00pm- 3.30pm Break
3.30pm to 5.00pm:

Moderated review of movie by YB Hannah Yeoh
Speakers: Loh Foon Fong, David Chong, and Yong Yen Nie
Question and Answers from all present

5.00pm: End of Session

Our goal is to help Christians in all spheres of influence to think through the real “heart and mind issues” for a salt and light type of lifestyle.  The movie is an excellent starting point.  The Speakers have all read and discussed (and hopefully digested the contents) the Nancy Pearcey Book called Total Truth over the last one year.  This is our close-off even to invite all who started with us to finish the agenda of reading and discussion of the book and real life issues.

Thanks for agreeing to join us.  If you can please join us for a small packet of Chicken Rice lunch and we can start at 1.00pm for the movie and the review.  We have also invited some Elders to join us to help us think through the issues and for all to meet and interact with these Elders.
